This is a loading facility for a temporary gathering of gas that is compressed onto specialized trucks and brought to the Magpie Unloading Station. Whiting built this experimental facility to capture flare gas from the numerous wells that they had drilled in order to continue drilling the wells in this site, while still capturing gas. Using pipeline that had already been laid, gas was re-routed and brought to Bakken Express to capture the over-abundance of flare gas until the plant was ready for the gas. This took 4 months to build and get all the glitches out of the system and to be put online.
